What is a Buyer Persona?
A Buyer Persona is a representation of the person most likely to buy your product or service.
Do you want to be “Noise” or “Signal”?
If you sell age-defying cream, and your Facebook ad appears on the feed of a young lady in her 20s.
You would come across just as noise to her ( Age matters 😉 ).
Hence, it’s important to have a clear understanding of who your potential customer is.
Why Should You Create a Buyer Persona?
- To streamline your lead generation, cold outreach, social media ad efforts.
- To keep everybody in the team on same page as far as potential customer is concerned.
- To reach the decision maker who has the power to buy your product/service.
How Can You Create a Buyer Persona?
Following attributes can help you create one.
- Age
- Location
- Designation
- Traits
- Goals
- Frustrations
- Motivation
- Industry
- Web Presence
- Bio
You can adjust this list based on your product or service and the available customer data.
If you already have enough customer data, use that to fill in these attributes. If not, create an initial persona with your understanding, and refine it over time as you gather more information.
